Text Box: A federal judge just ruled that the New York City Council has the right to ban aluminum bats and now thousands of high school ball players in New York City had to switch to wood on September 1st. We need to show our legislators that there are thousand and thousands of citizens who don’t want the politicians to get involved in a matter that should be left to the coaches, leagues and parents who know the sport best. Please go to www.DTMBA.com and sign up so you can become involved and help stop New Jersey from doing the same. There is a Bill in Trenton already trying to ban non-wood bats in all youth programs in New Jersey. Also visit the Little League site on the subject.

Last August the Board voted to renovate the Major Field during the off season.  Construction began 10/30.  The infield was leveled with new sod.  The outfield was leveled and seeded.  New break-away bases will be installed.

Saturday March 1st was the last scheduled Registration Date.

 

We are accepting late registrations. Some divisions now have a waiting list. Email baseball@bkll.com with the player’s age and contact information.

Games scheduled for Monday May 12th have been cancelled due to the weather. An updated schedule will be posted.

Parking Reminder: There is no parking on Railroad Ave. behind the G.T. School or on Railroad Ave adjacent to our fields.  Please do not park on or block the entrance to the houses behind the minor/t-shirt and T-ball fields.  No parking signs are posted and police will ticket.  Also, there is no parking on the bike path. You can pull over the path, but you can not park on it.
