During Kid pitch innings the child will pitch to either a walk, HBP, strikeout or batted ball. If the child walks the batter, the coach will come in and assume the count, i.e. 4-1 count when walked means batter has 1 strike. Once the coach steps in, there will be 3 pitches maximum.
